This website, its domain name, and its contents (including text and artwork) are owned by the Parent Co-operative Preschool Corporation (“PCPC”), a not-for-profit corporation registered in the province of Ontario.
Hypertext links & other references to other web sites & services are provided for information only & do not constitute endorsement or warranty express or implied as to content, usefulness, functioning, completeness or accuracy. Unless stated, any opinions expressed are those of the author only & not PCPC.
The primary administrative contact is Nancy Auer Bradley. The webmaster is Ken Simons. The logotypes, and some layout elements, are based on work by Ticking Time Bomb Design.
This site is designed for, and generated, by Textpattern, a fully XHTML compliant content management system. Pages are designed to meet basic standards for disability access, and to be viewable on as wide a range of browsers as possible, including small-screen mobile devices and webtop computers.
Some pages in the members-only section use Flash to render PowerPoint-style presentations. Our research indicated that the FlashPaper export program was the most accessibilty-compliant way to present this material, as a full text version of the contents can be accessed from within a conventional browser if the Flash plugin is also installed.
For printing, a separate stylesheet — which uses smaller fonts and omits navigational and decorative items, conserving paper and ink — is used. This will be called up automatically on most modern browsers.
Page addresses from our old website will automatically redirect to the corresponding page on the new site. In most cases, the name remains the same except that the “.html” suffix is now dropped.
